Paris in the Spring

The city that inspires!
The city full of inspiration.
Monumental, Iconic and Inspiring! Paris: A City Made for Love

Paris has a timeless familiarity for first-time and frequent visitors, with instantly-recognizable architectural icons, along with exquisite cuisine, chic boutiques and priceless artistic treasures.

While it’s one of the world’s major metropolises, there is a real sense of community with the local shops, markets and cafes that intertwine into a patchwork of villages with their own evolving character.

There are things to love about France for every season – and even every month – of the year, but spring does hold a special place in the hearts of many Francophiles.

The grandeur is inspiring and momentous, boasting iconic fixtures such as the Eiffel Tower; the broad Arc de Triomphe guarding Paris’ most glamorous avenue, the Champs-Élysées; the gargoyled Notre Dame cathedral; lamplit bridges spanning the Seine; and art nouveau cafes spilling onto wicker-chair-lined terraces are indelibly etched into the tapestry of the city.

It has an illustrious artistic pedigree like no other, breeding the most notable and influential masters of art. Renoir, Rodin, Picasso, Monet, Manet, Dalí, and Van Gogh’s awe-inspiring work can be found within the incomparable Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay’s exceptional impressionist collection, and the Centre Pompidou’s cache of modern and contemporary art. In addition there are scores of smaller museums housing collections in every imaginable genre, and a diverse range of venues mounting major exhibitions to off-beat installations.

Paris’ dining is also iconic. France’s reputation for its cuisine (the French word for “kitchen”) precedes it; and whether you seek a cozy neighborhood bistro or a triple-Michelin-starred temple to gastronomy, you’ll find every establishment prides itself on exquisite preparation and presentation of quality produce, invariably served with wine. Enticing patisseries (pastries and cakes), boulangeries (bakeries), fromageries (cheese shops) and crowded, colorful street markets are perfect for packing a picnic to take to the city’s parks and gardens. A host of culinary courses – from home kitchens to the world’s most prestigious cooking schools – offer instruction for all schedules, abilities and budgets.

Being on the forefront of international trends, browsing emerging and established designer boutiques are a must! Here you can find everything from flagship haute couture houses, uber-hip concept stores, quirky homeware shops, resplendent art nouveau department stores, along with a trove of vintage shops and flea markets, atmospheric bookshops (including the green-metal bouquiniste stalls lining the banks of the Seine), so much to offer that indulges the most aggressive shopper.

You can not escape the romance of Paris.

In the early 19th century, Paris reveled in the artistic and literary liberation of Romanticism, yet this graceful city has always inspired love.

Here is an approach for creating an experience made with two in mind!

Eiffel Tower Dinner: Enjoy a delicious 3-course meal at the specially-designed, airship-style 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower. The elegant restaurant is 95 meters (311 feet) above sea level and 58 meters (190 feet) above ground level, with scenic views over the Seine to the Trocadéro from its large picture windows.

After dinner, take a one-hour evening cruise on the Seine River and tour Paris’ floodlit monuments at night. During your cruise you will see the most famous sites of Paris illuminated.

Don’t miss Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the stunning romantic bridges of Paris!

Next, head to the heart of Paris’ nightlife, Montmartre, and the Moulin Rouge! You’ll experience the Moulin Rouge’s new “Féerie” review and the essence of Parisian cabaret. A troupe of 100 artists, including 60 legendary Doriss dancers, will entertain you dressed in exotic costumes of feathers, rhinestones and sequins.

So if international traveling is in your plans for the near future or distant we strongly recommend Paris. It delivers and rises above its own hype.
