Now able to move forward,
african-americans are finding ways to
keep the environment clean and their
families healthy.
Surpassing Stereotypes
The old saying, “A mind is
a terrible thing to waste,”
can’t get any closer to
the truth, but let us take
this same saying and apply
it to those who have received
an education and are making a
name for themselves in the world.
A professional lifestyle is one that
entails quite a lot for those who
are running corporations, expanding
their personal businesses, and
building new businesses. The entrepreneurial mindset is
equipped to handle everything from a flaw in spreadsheets
to the problems with a broken bathroom sink. Day in and
day out, achievers must always be alert, ready to combat
any problem that may come their way. It takes time and
energy to do these things, the type of energy that can only
be kept up if one is in great health. How can a big vision be
fully achieved when the mind is not in sync with the body?
In this issue of Monarch, we talk a lot about African-Americans
and their new direction of going green in America.
Surpassing the stereotypes that have been set before
them, they are breaking the glass ceilings, getting those
perfect jobs, and living the lifestyles that make them and
their families look good on the outside, but what about the
inside? now able to move forward, African-Americans are
finding ways to keep the environment clean and their families
healthy. The same should go for the personal lives of
those making it possible for such dreams to come true. A
healthy body hosts a healthy mind. eat the right foods, get
that good night’s sleep, and if you need a shoulder to lean
on, find a good friend to talk to. All of the above keep mind
and body in sync. Monarch cares and you should too.
