For those of you who are fans, who can forget some of the best moments of Tyra Banks’ “Top Model”? In cycle ten Dominique Rieghard gave us many of those moments. A receptionist when she started the show last season, now Dominique is climbing her way to the top and she is certainly destined for great things.

What exactly did “America’s Next Top Model” do for your career? It helped me discover what works and what doesn’t for me as a model. I learned to step outside of the box when I am on set at a photo shoot. What Tyra Banks taught me is priceless. I am so grateful for what I know now.

What do you believe is the most important lesson you took from the show? I learned all the hard work it takes to be a top model in this industry. It takes a lot of sacrifice, discipline, and drive to do what we do. I credit “Top Model” for getting me ready for this very demanding industry.

Who influenced you the most on the show? Tyra opened my mind to be more creative when I am on the set. Watching her has definitely taught me to expand my horizons. She always said that models are not perfect but when you are behind that camera a top model should know how to give an illusion of perfection. Also, Elle Macpherson encouraged me to never give up. She said that same client that may turn you down this year may want to work with you next year. So no matter what, stay positive.

What advice can you give to others who would like to take the same route as you? I tried out for “Top Model” 5 times. However, I was determined to make it because no was not an option. The most important thing to remember is to believe in yourself. This industry can be very finicky; therefore, selfconfidence is extremely important, and don’t forget to do your research.

Do you think you would ever host a show like “Top Model”? Absolutely! I would love to do hosting, period. I also want to branch out and get into correspondence work, as well as, acting. I believe it is important to be diverse in this industry, to get to the next level.

What is your dream job and why? I love dealing and working with people. I have been doing some charity work with an amazing non-profit group called “What It Takes,” in Columbus, Ohio. They focus on changing the lives of women who have been in abusive situations. I had the opportunity to help out by doing make-overs and dressing these women for success. Providing encouragement to other young women is very important to me.

What are your plans for the future? Currently, I am working on a new reality show called “Modelville”. I will be living in a house with 4 other contestants from “America’s Next Top Model” and we will have to complete a series of challenges. The winner will receive a $50,000 modeling contract with Carol’s Daughter. The show premieres October.
